Eskom corruption crackdown — over 2,000 cases and 126 arrests

The South African government has announced progress in the crackdown on corruption at Eskom, the country’s power utility.
Since April 2022, over 2,000 cases related to criminality at Eskom have been reported to the South African Police Service (SAPS), with 1,586 cases currently under investigation.
